October highlights at The Vet Station

The Vet Station turned three! Can you believe it, we are three years old. What an amazing three years we have had. I remember first opening the doors and inviting our first clients through the doors, such a proud moment for us after all the hard work we put in. Three years on and it is a dream come true. The dream was to create a family run, warm, empathetic and safe place for the people and pets of Molesey. We wanted to get heavily involved with the community and turn the tides on the 'corporate' bought distant direction that veterinary was going. I can hand on heart say that I think we have achieved it, thanks to the vision and the hard work of my team.

This month we launched the first in our series of CPR and first aid training, where we invited locals that work with pets. It was so successful, with a full house and loads of lovely positive feedback. We were so glad to be able to share our knowledge and hopefully make a difference in an emergency. If you are interested in our next training event, keep an eye out on our socials or send us an e-mail to join the waiting list.

We have just launched our senior pet clinics, which is just so important. While it’s not a foregone conclusion that pets will become ill as they age, they do become more susceptible to a range of conditions – making it even more important that you bring them in to see us regularly. If we can catch symptoms early it gives us a greater chance of treating them.Senior clinics for dogs and cats involve routine health evaluations designed to detect early signs of age-related diseases including arthritis, kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, dental problems and cognitive decline. Senior clinics help us identify these conditions early when they may be more manageable, potentially improving the quality and length of life for senior pets.

Send us a message or check out our website if you would like more information!

We have a great offer coming up soon for black Friday as part of our promise to give back to the community. Keep an eye out on our Instagram and Facebook pages in the weeks leading up to Black Friday (end of November).

As of now our vet station clients also have 24/7 access to vidivet. This is access to a vet (real-time) via the app or website, free of charge to all our lovely clients. This means that if we have gone home for the evening and you need a vet, you absolutely have access to one, any time of the day or night. They will be able to offer you great advice, support and comfort. We will receive the notes afterwards and be kept in the loop, ready to take up the care when we are open again. You must sign up using our link below:

Finally our pet of the month is the lovely Zach! Pet child to the fantastic owners of Green and Lovely in Molesey, Zach was in and out of The Vet Station this month with abscesses and grass seed exploration. A little ball of feisty energy, he loves to come in and see us, he just couldn’t stay away. His cute video on our TikTok got a lot of views!

Finally just to say thanks to all those supporting my little client and those that have chosen The Fire Plan membership, it means a lot to us!
